Q: When can I check in for the Symposium?

A: Check in opens at 7:30am on both November 9th and 10th. Registration is located on the second floor nearest the West Entrance (13th Street side) on the second level Ballroom A, Lobby Area.

Q: What are my payment options?
A: Payment can be submitted via credit card or check. During your registration, you can select your payment option. If you select to pay by check, please make checks payable to “California ISO” and mail to California ISO, 250 Outcropping Way, Folsom, CA 95630. Attn: Madyson Pham/Finance, and reference the name of the registrant. Please submit checks in a timely matter to allow for processing time. If you have any payment questions, please contact symposiumreg@caiso.com. Invoices can be accessed through your account on the registration site here.

Q: Where is the Symposium venue located?
A: The event takes place at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center: 1074 13th St, Sacramento, CA 95814. Watch an animated tour of the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center.

Q: Is a government rate offered?
A: Yes, we offer a discounted government rate of $325 for government agencies that are not market participants. You must be an employee of a government agency and cannot be a market participant in the ISO markets to qualify.

Q: How do I update my registration?
A: Go to “Register” in the navigation above then click on “Already registered? View or modify your existing registration. You can then go into your account and make modifications. Group registrations must use the primary contact login information to update information. 

Q: Where do I get my badge?
A: Yes, you can pick up your printed badge at the registration check in at the event.

Q: Is there a mobile app for this event?
A: For a list of attendees, download and install the EventMobi app from the app store (Google Play Store or Apple Store) and enter event code: SYMPO2022. The app provides event information such as the agenda, speaker biographies, and sponsors. Download the Symposium with Eventmobi app.

Q: Is there a cancellation/refund policy?
A: Please send cancellations directly to the Symposium Team at symposiumreg@caiso.com. Cancellations must be received by October 30, 2022 in order to receive a full refund. If unforeseen circumstances force the California ISO to cancel the symposium, the ISO will issue a full refund. The California ISO assumes no liability for costs incurred by registrants due to the cancellation, including, but not limited to travel and accommodation expenses.

Q: Who can attend the Symposium?
A: Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend. The Stakeholder Symposium is a public event.

Q: What is the appropriate attire?
A: Attire is business casual.

Q: What are the COVID protocols for attending the Symposium and do I need to wear a mask?
A: We follow all California Public Health Department recommendations for COVID-19. Face coverings are optional, as the CDC COVID-19 Community Level in Sacramento County is “Low,” We will have N95 masks available upon request. Additionally, we encourage social distancing and will have hand sanitizer available in all common areas.

Q: Is transportation available from the airport?
A: The California ISO does not provide transportation to or from the Sacramento airport. When using ride share transportation services, there are specific designated areas for pick-up. Determine where your pick-up area is based on your Terminal. Using apps like Lyft, Uber or Wingz is simple at the Sacramento Airport. However, taxis are available outside the airport baggage claim and SuperShuttle can be booked ahead of time. 

Q: Is Wi-Fi available in the convention center for guests to use?
A: Yes, Wi-Fi will be available throughout the upper level ballroom area for attendees. The network name is ISOSYMPO and the password is sympo2022.


Q: Will there be a coat check onsite or will there be a place to stow personal belongings?

A: Yes, coat check is in meeting room 4 on the 2nd level to the right registration.

Nov. 9 coat check time will be from 7 AM - 7PM
Nov. 10 coat check time will be from 7 AM - 1:30 PM

Q: Are there any rooms I can use for a quick meeting at the symposium?
A: Yes, the recharge lounge is located in meeting room 1 for guests to use for personal use. Complimentary Wi-Fi, tables, chairs and charging stations will be available. Please note the room is not private and is open to all attendees.
