Jim Shandalov joined NextEra in 2013 and leads the origination team for solar, storage, and wind energy projects in the Western United States region. Jim has over 30 years of industry experience in development, energy procurement, transmission, energy trading, engineering, and policy. Jim has been working on renewables since 2006 and has completed over 2 GW of utility-scale projects in the West, with another 4+ GW contracted and scheduled for completion through 2024. Prior to NextEra, Jim held various positions at Southern Company, PG&E, eSolar, and BP Solar. Jim holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
